About An Aussie in Toronto

I’m an Australian who moved to Toronto, Canada on an International Experience Canada (IEC) working holiday visa. I then went on to become a permanent resident and am now awaiting a citizenship grant!

This a collection of everything I have learned about living in Toronto and how it compares to living in Australia.

I also write about some stuff that relates to other nationalities living in Canada, not only Australians.

My content is based on observations through my personal experiences of living in Toronto, Canada versus my personal experiences of living in Sydney, Australia.

Obviously, some things I talk about are general and may be different for different people. My goal is to entertain, inform and provide relatable material for Australians calling Canada home and vice versa.

Wherever I include facts and statistics, they are taken from reputable sources such as government websites.

Others are experiences of fellow Aussies as they navigate their way through the city.

You may disagree with some of my points, but it’s all in jest. So no offence to anyone who doesn’t like what I have to say!

I’m happy to answer any questions you have about doing a working holiday in Canada, applying for permanent residency or anything else to do with Canada or living in Toronto.
